Ben Bliss has performed leading roles on the great opera stages of the world since 2015. From the Metropolitan Opera in New York to the Paris Opera, London's Royal Opera, Staatsoper Berlin, Barcelona's Gran Teatre del Liceu, Lyric Opera of Chicago, San Francisco Opera, Los Angeles Opera and many more. Ben has also appeared as a soloist with the New York Philharmonic, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin and Orchestre National de France to name a few.
He is a two-time recipient of the Metropolitan Opera's prestigious Beverly Sills Artist Award (2021 and 2026) and a 2025 Grammy nominee. The New York Times has praised his "honeyed lyric tenor" and "full-voiced intensity" and called him a "gifted young tenor." National Review hailed him as "a truly exceptional tenor."
Ben earned a BFA in Film Production from Chapman University. Before his performing career, he worked on the Dr. Phil Show at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles. His directing work screened at 30+ international film festivals and won several national awards. In 2016 he co-founded NYC's innovative Mise-En-Scène Studios (MESS).
Ben lives in Greenwich Village and is an avid woodworker and classic car nut.
